This notice covers BrewLab at foxelia.cc: its reference articles, browser calculators and contact-draft page. For privacy questions, contact [email protected]. The contact page can prepare text for you, but you must send an email yourself. External websites have their own notices.
Our calculator scripts process entered measurements on your device. They do not upload inputs or save them to cookies, local storage or an account. Timers run in the current page; blind-tasting orders use your browser’s random-number facility. We do not maintain a user profile or make eligibility decisions about you. Reloading normally restores defaults, but your browser may retain or restore form state independently of this website.
When you select Save recipe or Save brew in My brew journal, or explicitly save a finished guided brew, the site stores your bean bag names, opening dates, measured stock and storage notes, plus your recipe names, coffee details, measurements, dates, preference ratings and notes in localStorage under brewlab.journal.v1. Confirmed bean usage is saved with the brew and deducts stock in the same local transaction. Taste troubleshooting reads the selected local record and current choices to generate rule-based suggestions; it does not call an AI service. A proposed variation is saved only if you choose to save it. Experiment-guide setup similarly saves A/B recipe plans only when requested; it does not create measured results. Blank CSV record sheets are downloaded files, not uploaded records, and are not synchronized with the journal. This optional feature is separate from the calculators. Data stays in the current browser profile for this site address until you delete records or clear site data; it is not uploaded by the journal. The homepage can read this journal to show a return shortcut. There is no cloud sync or account recovery. Private browsing, storage restrictions or clearing browser data can remove or prevent records. Avoid sensitive information in notes, especially on shared devices.
Export creates a JSON download containing the journal; downloaded files remain wherever you save them. Import reads a file on your device and merges validated records only after you confirm. No journal file is uploaded. Delete removes a record from the stored journal; Undo can restore the latest deletion until another deletion or reload. Copies in exported files or browser backups are unaffected. Clearing this site's browser storage removes its local journal. Export a backup first if you want to keep it.
The contact form prepares a draft locally. Selecting “Copy email draft” asks your browser to write the draft to your clipboard. If permission or copying fails, you can select the draft manually. The site does not read your existing clipboard or send the form. Clipboard content may remain until you replace or clear it; your operating system may also provide clipboard history or synchronization.
If you independently send us an email, the sender address, message and any attachments pass through email services and may be received and processed to answer your request, investigate a correction or handle a privacy concern. Avoid sending passwords, payment information or unnecessary sensitive data. A draft copied on this site is not evidence that we received an email.
Serving a web page necessarily involves requests to the hosting infrastructure. IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser or device information, referring pages and security events may be processed for delivery, reliability and abuse prevention. Calculator input values are not deliberately included in those requests by our scripts. Do not put confidential information in a page URL.
The current hosting provider’s identity, logging configuration and retention schedule are not stated in this notice. This notice therefore does not promise that no technical personal information is processed or that all infrastructure logs have a particular deletion date.
Some pages request fonts and stylesheets from Google Fonts, including fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Those requests disclose technical connection information to Google. Other pages use system fonts. Local brand icons, Lucide UI icons and article illustrations are served with the site. External reference links open the destination only when you follow them; the destination may receive technical or referral information and applies its own policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s processing.
The calculator scripts do not set analytics or advertising cookies or retain inputs in localStorage or sessionStorage. The optional brew journal uses localStorage when you explicitly save recipes or brews, as described above. Normal browser caching is separate from cookies. Hosting or security infrastructure may operate independently of these scripts. You can manage cookies, site data, browser form restoration and clipboard permissions in your browser or operating-system settings. Blocking JavaScript disables interactive calculations; the article text remains readable.
BrewLab may display advertising. Google and other participating third-party vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized advertising based on visits to this or other websites. The vendors, purposes and privacy choices applicable to any advertising we enable will be disclosed when that advertising is introduced.
Ad settings are not a substitute for legally required consent. Where required, optional technologies must wait for the applicable choice. Serving personalized Google ads to users in the EEA, UK or Switzerland requires Google’s applicable certified consent-management setup. This notice does not claim that such a setup is already installed. Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove ads or all advertising-related processing.
Local computations provide the requested tool without transmitting the entered values. Technical requests support content delivery and security; emails you choose to send support correspondence and issue handling. Where data-protection law applies, the relevant processing needs an appropriate legal ground, such as legitimate interests for necessary delivery/security or consent for optional technologies where required. The specific ground, recipients and safeguards depend on the actual operator and service configuration; this page does not invent a consent or contractual necessity for every activity.
Hosting, font and email providers may process information in locations outside your country. The particular countries, processor terms and any legally required transfer safeguards must be determined for the actual services. Do not infer a particular transfer mechanism from the presence of this policy.
Our application does not keep a server-side record of calculator inputs, journal entries or drafts. Journal records persist locally as described above. Browser and clipboard retention depend on your settings. Email correspondence and infrastructure logs require their own retention rules based on purpose, legal obligations and security needs; a verified schedule has not been provided here. We do not operate a feature for selling or sharing calculator inputs. We may need to disclose correspondence or technical information to service providers, respond to lawful requests or protect the service, subject to applicable law. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Depending on the law that applies and its conditions, you may be entitled to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and to withdraw consent for processing based on consent. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. Some regional laws also provide rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information. Applicability and exceptions depend on the operator, processing and region; we do not claim a particular law applies merely because you visit this page.
Send requests to the privacy contact above, specifying the request and enough context to identify the information involved. Do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification process requires them. We will handle applicable requests within the time required by the relevant law and explain any applicable limitation. You may also contact your competent data-protection authority. The site does not maintain user accounts or server-side calculator histories to retrieve. Manage local journal records on your device or through their exported backup.
BrewLab is a general reference service, not directed to children, and it does not invite children to create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe a child’s personal information has been sent to the privacy contact, tell us so it can be investigated and handled under applicable law. This statement is not a substitute for any age-specific obligations that may apply.
We will revise this notice when the actual service or its processing changes and show the revision date. Material changes may require additional notice or a fresh choice where the applicable law requires it. Merely continuing to browse does not automatically provide consent to new optional data processing.
